About HHA Nursing Home Print E-mail

Harbert Hills Nursing Home provides the finest in Long-term Care Services for the elderly individuals in the Hardin County area. Because we are a small Nursing Home, we can offer this care in a family atmosphere.

Our residents enjoy a wide variety of activities and programs during the year. Everyday, we offer an activity program of crafts, games, or religious services.

During National Nursing Home Week in May, the nursing home is decorated with the resident’s pictures of when they were younger. This activity stimulates a great deal of reminiscing. During this week, the residents enjoy loading up in the van and going on a picnic.

On the 4th of July, we have a picnic on the lawn with a fireworks show after the sun goes down.

In September, we have an old fashion day, along with a picnic and an old-fashioned cake walk. All of the residents get to go on horse-drawn buggy rides. This is one of the most popular activities of the year. The biggest party of the year is at Christmas. We have a number of different singing groups that provide musical entertainment; many of our staff members join together to act out several skits. Of course, there is enough food and gifts for everyone. The highlight of the party is brother R.W. Moore playing the piano for everyone.

We feel that it is a privilege to provide loving care for our residents. It is also a serious responsibility that we do not take lightly.
